Splash!

Just a snippet of "Splash!", the painting has two ducks joyously splashing. I painted this quite some time ago for my parents in Ohio to give them a more 'up lifting' painting. This piece has been on my mind and I've realized recently I don't have a full image of the painting. Tsk tsk. I've always loved ducks and I had to create a lighthearted fun image. What better bird to choose than a duck!

Illustrations of chivalry

I was asked to create a few illustrations for a family friend of mine that portray chivalry for his 'theology of the body' presentation. There is a complete slide show of what he would show for this presentation in order to get it approved to be able to teach it. These are just two of four.

Heaven and Hell

Heaven and Hell. Two shows, one upstairs and one downstairs. You can guess which is where. I'm very happy that I was able to complete these with little stress. I first started with Hell. Of course, I found it unfit and sanded it down and started over. The colors I chose got mucky and I started getting nightmares about it so I hid it in the corner.

With the theme of Heaven and Hell, I decided to stay close to my "bird theme". I think it flowed well and illustrated both well. Heaven was easy, as the holy spirit can be illustrated by a dove. Hell was difficult to present such a concept of a bird into such a dark place. I decided I would let the place destruct and pull in something beautiful.
